VR 35 Left Wheel Not Working – What to Check

📢 Voice announcement: “Please check left wheel.”

If your VR 35 announces an issue with the left wheel, it means the wheel may be stuck or blocked by debris. This article explains how to inspect and clean the wheel area safely.

1. Turn Off the Robot Before Handling

  • Switch off the power using the main switch on the side of the robot.

  • If the robot is on the dock, remove it before cleaning.

2. Flip the Robot and Locate the Left Wheel

  • Place the robot upside down on a clean, flat surface.

  • Identify the left drive wheel (on your right when the robot is upside down).

3. Check for Debris Around the Wheel

  • Inspect the wheel cavity and the gap between the wheel and body.

  • Look for:

    • Tangled hair

    • Dust build-up

    • Small objects

  • Use the cleaning brush or tweezers to carefully remove any debris.

  • Rotate the wheel manually to ensure it spins freely.

4. Clean the Wheel Area

  • Use a dry cloth to wipe the outer surface of the wheel.

  • Do not use water or solvents inside the wheel structure.

5. Restart the Robot

  • After cleaning, turn the power switch back ON.

  • Place the robot on a flat surface and observe if the error repeats.

If the issue continues after cleaning, please contact the Floorbotics support team for further assistance.
