What Does the Blinking Red Light on VR 35 Max Mean?

A blinking red light on your VR 35 Max typically indicates an error or that the robot needs attention. This article explains the most common causes and how to resolve them.

1. Low Battery or Charging Issue

  • If the robot blinks red while docked or after a failed attempt to start, the battery may be too low to operate.

  • Place the robot on the charging dock and allow it to charge fully before restarting.

2. Obstacle Detected or Robot Stuck

  • The robot may have encountered an obstruction or become stuck under furniture.

  • Gently move the robot to an open area and check for any tangled cords, rugs or uneven surfaces.

3. Brushes or Wheels May Be Blocked

  • Flip the robot over and inspect the main brush, side brushes and wheels.

  • Remove any hair, string or debris using the cleaning tool provided.

  • Reinstall the components securely before restarting the machine.

4. Check for Full Dustbin or Dirty Sensors

  • A full dustbin can also trigger a warning.

  • Empty the dustbin and clean the dust box sensors and charging contacts with a dry cloth.

  • Wipe the infrared and laser sensors if they appear dusty.

If the red light continues to flash after you’ve completed the above checks, please contact the Floorbotics support team for assistance.
