If your VR 35 Max is not charging or fails to dock correctly, this article outlines key checks to resolve the issue.
1. Dock Is Not Powered On
-
Confirm the power cord is securely connected to the dock and the wall outlet.
-
Check that the indicator light on the dock is on.
-
If the light is off, try a different power outlet or check the cable connection.
2. Confirm Docking Status
-
Gently move the machine away from the dock.
-
Check whether the dock’s indicator light remains illuminated.
-
Reposition the machine and confirm it sits correctly on the dock.
3. Ensure Sufficient Space Around the Dock
-
Leave at least 0.8 metres in front and 0.5 metres on both sides of the dock.
-
Avoid placing the dock near mirrors or reflective surfaces.
-
Ensure the area is clear of objects or furniture that may interfere with docking.
4. Inspect the Charging Contacts
-
Make sure the side brushes are not covering the contact points.
-
Wipe the contact poles on both the robot and the dock with a dry cloth.
-
Remove any dust, hair or debris from the charging shrapnel and contact pads.
5. Check for Physical Obstruction
-
Inspect the interface where the robot connects to the dock.
-
Remove any debris or residue that may block proper contact.
If the robot still does not charge or dock properly after checking the above, please contact the Floorbotics support team for assistance.
