VR 35 Max Dock Isn’t Collecting Dust – What to Do

If your VR 35 Max completes a cleaning cycle but the dock fails to collect the dust from the robot, this guide outlines what to inspect and how to restore proper dust collection.

1. Check the Dock’s Top Cover and Seal

  • Open the top cover of the auto-empty dock.

  • Ensure it is securely closed and that the sealing strip around the edge is fully intact and seated.

  • A loose or damaged seal may cause a loss of suction during dust transfer.

2. Inspect the Dust Bag

  • Open the compartment where the dust bag is stored.

  • If the bag is full, replace it with a new one.

  • A full bag will block airflow and prevent proper dust collection.

3. Look for Blockages in the Dust Path

  • Check the dust collection port at the base of the dock.

  • Use a flashlight if needed to inspect the inside for blockages caused by lint or debris.

  • Clean the area gently with the cleaning brush provided.

4. Ensure Proper Docking Alignment

  • Make sure the robot is docking centrally and fully onto the base.

  • Misalignment may prevent the dock from forming a proper seal with the dust outlet.

  • Watch the robot return to the dock and listen for the dust collection sound.

If the dock continues to skip the dust collection process, please contact the Floorbotics support team for assistance.
