If your VR 35 Max completes a cleaning cycle but still leaves debris in the dust box after returning to the dock, the issue may relate to dust collection efficiency. This guide outlines what to inspect.
1. Check Whether the Dust Bag Is Full
-
Open the dock and inspect the dust bag.
-
If the bag is full, replace it with a new one.
-
A full dust bag can prevent proper suction during auto-emptying.
2. Inspect the Dust Collection Port
-
Check the port located at the base of the dock where dust is transferred from the robot.
-
Remove any visible debris, hair or blockages from the port and the surrounding area.
-
Ensure the dust path from the robot to the dock is clear.
3. Clean the Dock’s Outlet and Base Area
-
Examine the outlet inside the dock where suction occurs.
-
Clear any buildup of dust or lint.
-
Use a soft brush if needed to gently clean the area.
4. Confirm the Dock’s Top Cover Is Properly Sealed
-
Make sure the top cover of the dock is closed tightly.
-
Check that the sealing strip around the lid is intact and seated properly.
-
A loose seal may reduce suction during dust transfer.
If the dust box remains dirty after completing these checks, please contact the Floorbotics support team for assistance.
