Quad 800 Won’t Turn on – What to Do When It Won’t Start

If your Quad 800 doesn’t respond at all when you try to turn it on, the issue is usually related to power supply, battery charge, or the key switch. Here’s how to check each part of the startup process and get the machine running again.

Common Causes

1. The main power switch is off
The robot will not respond unless the main power switch is turned on. This switch controls power to the entire machine.

2. The battery is completely flat
If the battery level is extremely low, the robot may not start until it has charged for a while.

3. The key switch is in the off position
Even if the battery is charged and the main power is on, the robot won’t start without turning the key to the correct position.

How to Fix It

Turn on the main power switch
Locate the main power switch and make sure it is in the ON position. This is often found near the battery compartment.

Charge the battery
If the robot does not turn on, try placing it on the charger or connecting it via manual charging port. Leave it to charge for at least 30 minutes and then try powering on again.

Use the key switch to start the machine
Insert the key into the On/Off keyhole and turn it to the ON position. Wait for the screen or indicator lights to appear, which confirms the machine has started.

If It Still Doesn’t Work

  • Make sure the charger is working properly by checking the indicator light.

  • Try a different power outlet to rule out socket issues.

  • If the robot shows no response after charging and checking all switches, contact FloorBotics support for further inspection.
