Quad 800 Not Charging – Possible Reasons and Fixes

If your Quad 800 doesn’t seem to charge when connected to power, it could be due to the charger, power source, or battery condition. Charging problems are often easy to fix once the root cause is identified. Use the steps below to get started.

Common Causes

1. The power outlet is not working
If the outlet is switched off or faulty, the charger will not receive any power. This is one of the easiest things to overlook.

2. The charger is faulty
A broken or malfunctioning charger will stop the battery from charging. Check the indicator lights to confirm if it is working.

3. The battery is damaged
If the charger appears to work but the battery percentage never increases, the battery may be faulty or no longer holding a charge.

How to Fix It

Test the power outlet
Try plugging the charger into a different socket that you know is working. If the charger light turns on in a different location, the problem was with the original outlet.

Check the charger status
Look at the charger’s indicator light.

  • If the light is solid red, the charger is working properly.

  • If it is flashing or off, the charger may need to be repaired or replaced. Contact FloorBotics technical support for help.

Check the battery condition
If the charger light is normal but the Quad 800 shows no increase in battery level, the internal batteries may be worn out. In this case, contact FloorBotics to arrange a battery replacement.

Tip for Regular Use

Try to keep the battery from falling below critical levels too often. Regular deep discharge can shorten battery lifespan. If you won’t be using the machine for a while, charge it fully and then top it up every few months.
