Quad 800 is Not Moving – What Should I Check First?

If your Quad 800 is powered on but not responding to movement commands, there are a few common reasons. Whether you're trying to move it manually or start an automatic task, these checks will help you quickly identify the issue.

Common Reasons

1. The robot is not powered on properly
Even if the screen is on, the main power switch or key switch might be off, preventing movement.

2. The robot is still in automatic mode
Manual movement is not possible if the robot is in automatic mode and not currently performing a task.

3. The emergency stop button is pressed
If the red emergency stop button on the control panel is engaged, it will lock the wheels and disable all movement.

How to Fix It

1. Confirm power and key switches are on

  • Make sure the main power switch is turned on.

  • Insert the key and turn it to the "On" position.

  • Wait a few seconds for the system to fully boot.

2. Switch to manual mode

  • Use the control panel or app to change the robot to manual mode.

  • In automatic mode, even without a task running, it may ignore manual movement commands.

3. Release the emergency stop button

  • Locate the red emergency stop button.

  • Turn it clockwise to release it. This should restore motion control.

Extra Checks

  • If the battery is very low, charging may be required before movement is enabled.

  • After pressing the emergency stop, allow a few seconds for the system to reset.
