Quad 800 Daily Maintenance Checklist – What to Clean After Each Use

Doing a quick check-up on your Quad 800 after each use is the easiest way to keep it in top condition. Regular daily maintenance prevents issues like odour, poor suction, and part wear, and helps your scrubber stay reliable over time.

1. Switch Off the Machine

Before anything else, make sure the power is turned off completely. This keeps you safe while cleaning and avoids accidental button presses or movement.

2. Empty and Clean the Water Tanks

Both the solution tank and the recovery tank should be emptied after each use. Leaving water inside can lead to smells or bacterial build-up. After draining, rinse both tanks with clean water. A hose or spray gun makes this faster, but a bucket will work too.

Checklist:

  • Drain the solution tank

  • Drain the recovery tank

  • Rinse both tanks thoroughly

  • Close all valves once done

3. Rinse the Filter Element

The filter collects fine dust and small particles during use. If it clogs, suction performance will drop.

To clean the filter:

  • Remove it from the machine

  • Rinse under running water until clear

  • Shake off excess water before reinserting

4. Check and Clean the Recovery Tank

Even after a rinse, check for remaining sludge or debris in the recovery tank. If anything is stuck to the bottom or walls, rinse it out again. A clean recovery tank ensures strong suction and keeps the machine smelling fresh.

5. Wipe the Squeegee Blade

The rubber squeegee collects hair and dirt while cleaning. This affects how well it picks up water. Use a damp cloth to wipe the inside edge of the blade.

What to look for:

  • Hair or debris on the rubber

  • Dirt buildup that could affect contact with the floor

6. Empty the Trash Can

The small trash container near the front rollers collects loose debris. Leaving waste inside can cause odours or clogs in the next run.

Quick steps:

  • Remove the trash can

  • Empty any collected debris

  • Rinse it with clean water

7. Check the Battery Level

At the end of the day, look at the battery level. If it’s low, charge the machine so it’s ready for the next session. Avoid storing the unit with a fully drained battery.

By doing these simple steps each day, you help your Quad 800 stay in top shape and avoid unnecessary downtime or repairs. This routine takes just a few minutes but can save hours in the long run.
