How to Rinse the Filter Element on the Quad 800 Floor Scrubber

The filter element in your Quad 800 plays a key role in keeping the recovery system running smoothly. It collects fine dust, hair, and other small particles as dirty water is sucked into the recovery tank. Rinsing the filter after each use helps maintain strong suction and prevents blockages that can lead to machine faults.

Why the Filter Needs Daily Cleaning

When the filter is clogged, water flow is restricted. This reduces the vacuum strength and may cause the machine to leave water behind or show warning messages. A clean filter ensures the recovery system performs as expected and protects internal components from dirt build-up.

How to Rinse the Filter Element

Follow these simple steps after each use:

  1. Turn off the machine
Always shut down the Quad 800 completely before opening any part of the recovery system.

  2. Remove the filter element
Open the filter housing and carefully remove the filter. It may be slightly wet or dirty from the last cleaning session.

  3. Rinse under clean running water
Hold the filter under a steady stream of water. Use your fingers to gently dislodge any trapped debris. Avoid using harsh brushes or cleaning agents, as they can damage the surface.

  4. Shake off excess water
Once clean, give the filter a gentle shake to remove water. You don’t need to dry it completely, but it should not be dripping when reinstalled.

  5. Reinsert the filter into its original position
Make sure the filter is seated properly and the housing is closed securely before restarting the machine.

When to Replace the Filter

If rinsing doesn’t clear the filter fully, or if the material is torn, bent or damaged, it’s time to replace it. Regular daily cleaning helps extend the life of the filter, but it won’t last forever.
