How to Clean the Quad 800 Water Tanks After Each Use

Keeping the water tanks on your Quad 800 clean is one of the most important daily tasks. It helps prevent blockages, unpleasant smells and long-term damage to the system. Cleaning both the solution tank and the recovery tank takes only a few minutes and makes a big difference in performance.

Why This Matters

The solution tank holds the clean water or detergent mix used during cleaning. The recovery tank stores the dirty water that’s picked up from the floor. If either tank is left uncleaned, residue and bacteria can build up, leading to clogs, odours or system faults.

Step-by-Step: Cleaning the Water Tanks

After each use, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the machine
Always switch off the Quad 800 completely before starting any maintenance.

  2. Drain both tanks
Use the drainage outlets to empty both the solution tank and the recovery tank. Make sure the contents are safely disposed of in a suitable drain.

  3. Rinse the inside of each tank
Use a hose, spray gun or clean water bucket to rinse out the inside of both tanks. Focus especially on any areas where dirt, detergent or sludge tends to collect.

  4. Check for residue
Look inside each tank to check for build-up on the walls or around the valves. If you see anything stuck, rinse again or wipe with a soft cloth.

  5. Close the valves properly
Once everything is clean, close all tank valves securely to avoid leaks before the next use.

Tip for Better Results

If you’re using detergent or operating in areas with heavy soil, it’s helpful to give the tanks an extra rinse to prevent residue from hardening over time.
