Quad 500 Suction Airway Blockage – How to Detect and Fix It

If the Quad 500 leaves water streaks or fails to pick up dirty water, the suction airway may be blocked. Clearing the airway ensures proper suction and cleaning performance.

Symptoms

  • Machine leaves water behind during cleaning

  • Suction noise sounds weak or irregular

  • Dirty water remains on the floor instead of being collected

Steps to Check and Fix

  1. Turn off the machine before inspection.
     

  2. Tilt or lift the machine carefully to access the suction airway underneath.
     

  3. Use a cleaning rod to gently check the airway opening for stains, dirt, or debris that may cause blockage.
     

  4. If debris is found, remove it with the tool or flush the airway with clean water.
     

  5. Ensure the suction pipe and connected hoses are clear and properly fitted.
     

  6. Test the machine again to confirm suction has returned to normal.
